Being raised in New York, I had a terrible decission to make, Yankees or Mets? I used to root for the Mets as a kid, then I read an article in some magazine about the new Yankee player Derek Jeter (wow that was a long time ago!) and I became a huge Yankee, and Derek Jeter, fan. I love the Yankees for the AL, and the Mets for the NL, but the Yankees are the best!

The Mets have been in my heart since I was a child. But after living out of New York and not getting to see Met games on tv and only getting to watch the Yankees play (obviously I left NY in ‘96), the Yankees have also found a place in my heart. I’m back in New York now and I am thrilled that both NY teams will be making the playoffs. I do think that the Mets are a better team this year, but the Yankees could take them in the World Series. Now with Hideki back and Sheffield getting ready, the Yankees are going to be unstoppable!

Die hard Yankee fan since I can remember.
It’s good to see Matsui back in the lineup and Sheff on the way. It’s also great to see Alex Rodriguez killing the ball again.
You know he’s on when he’s hitting the ball to center, right center and right field.
He absolutely demolished that 3-1 fastball last night, a pitch he was getting beat on earlier this year.

Hey Mary*, I’m like you, I think baseball is the greatest game in the world. October is not only the most beautiful month weather wise but it’s also the month of my birthday, (23rd) as well as playoff time. I’ve been a Yankee fan ever since I knew what baseball was. Let’s hope our Bombers win their 27th World Series.
