My cousin was killed in a car accident in 1993 and in 2001 a baseball diamond was dedicated to him through a local park district. We as a family are going to do a baseball game in memory of him in a few weeks and I would like to put a large memory box together. I am planning on taking lots of pictures and i want to record the family playing the game. Also, we are having t-shirts made up. Any other ideas? Other things we could do, or make? Ideas for a memory box that i could make or buy? Any ideas are great!

Seriously. I’m not joking. I’ve been studying this for some time. Not academically or anything like that. If you look at cops and the way they talk and look and then you compare them to many baseball players, it is very similar. Like they got the whole strong silent type thing going on. They look all beefed up (sometimes from illegal substances) too. And they got those military looking haircuts going on. Watch an interview with a baseball player or a baseball manager once and close your eyes. You could swear it is a cop talking about baseball or something.

Just an opinion. You can also list your favorite baseball book.( It can be the same answer as your favorite baseball movie.) I will give everybody a thumbs up as well. Please star!

Traditionally baseball players wear their socks over the bottom of their pants up to the knee. Most major league ball players wear their pants over the socks down to the shoes. I am curious as to when this started.

How do baseball announcers tell the difference between a slider and a fastball when announcing games?

I can more or less tell a curve ball since it has a looping motion. I’m guessing a change up can be determined by the speedometer. New to baseball. Thanks!

I caught a baseball about 10 years ago at a world series game. I have caught many others since then. Now I am not sure which one is the one from the world series game. I would like to give it to someone as a gift but I want to make sure I have the right ball.
The one I think is it is a Cooper it says official league, solid core center, and a lot #.If this is not the world series one. is it possible that it could be from a regular season game?

I recently came into possesion of a baseball that is signed by numerous members of the 1950 New York Yankees baseball team. I am a diehad Yankees fan and was estatic when I got it. The ball is signed by all of the greats: Joe DiMaggio,Yogi Berra,Phil Rizzuto,Johnny Mize, Whitey Ford. There are also a bunch of others as well.

I just need one baseball. What’s the cheapest they go for?
