How to make a Baseball shirt cake?
I am looking to make a baseball shirt cake for my sons 1st birthday. I want to make it a 2 layer cake meaning the same size just so its thicker! What do I need to make the cake stick together? I will not be using a shirt cake pan because I can not find one nor do I have time to order one! Please help me. I also will be using a special cake and frosting recipe that has no sugar. Any help would be great. Thank You so much in advance

Use buttercream and jam in the middle of the cake and make a big rectangular cake and then us your arty skills to cut out the shape you want.
try go here, maybe it will give you some idea
Just put a layer of frosting in the middle to help it stick together, and to make it taste better. You should level the cakes so that they don’t crack when they’re stacked, too. Just cut the domed tops off of the cakes, then put frosting in the middle and put the whole thing in the freezer for a while so that it will be easier to carve. Use a serrated knife to cut it into the shape that you want.
Out of curiosity, are you using the sugar-free recipe because of a health condition, or because you read that babies shouldn’t have any sugar? The reason I’m wondering is because once a year really wouldn’t hurt, and because frosting that’s made without any sugar won’t behave very well…so if it’s just that you don’t give sugar to your baby, you might make an exception this one time. Sugar is an important part of how the cake behaves too, and to carve a cake, it needs to be rather dense, so a more traditional recipe might work better. Also, there’s no way to make a sugar-free fondant, and fondant would be the best covering for your cake to make it look like fabric. If you decide to use it, here’s an easy fondant recipe and all the info you’d need:
If you go to a craft store, you can buy a mini ball pan, and use it to make a baseball shaped smash cake for your son…the smash cake is traditional, it’s the little cake that the baby gets to demolish.
