    What if we can’t stand either?

    ::sigh::

    I love the Yankees but i’m sick and tired of hearing about them or the Red Sox every third question. I’ll try to humor your inquiry though. Bo Sox and Yankees fans can be found outside of their home regions due to their popularity…more than any other team in the MLB. The fact that you brought it up proves my point entirely.

    Probably 49.9 percent of all baseball fans are Boston Red Sox fans or closet fans.

    well considering the all of baseball is jealous of the yankees and wish they were as talented and cute and had as much wins and success and money as the yankees they would probably root for someone they can relate to like the redsox. so i would say 70% for the redsox ( bandwagon fans) and 30% (good looking senseible fans)

    I hate the Boston Red $ox and the New York Yankee$.

    I would hate them less if the stupid media didn’t treat every Red Sox – Yankees series like it was the Super Bowl.

  6. Kinsley Barker Said:

    some of us like both

    According to a poll I saw a while ago in SI (Sports Ilustrated) the Yankees are the most hated team in sports!Red Sox have won 2 World Series in the 21st century. But then again the Yankees have won 27 world Series! But I hate when people use this as an excuse as to why their team is the best. The Yankees have A-Rod,Jeter,Giambi and many more but the Sox have Manny,Ortiz,Papelbon-What’s not to like? But seriously I have no idea what the percentage is!

    i dont like either

  9. Treyvon Christian Said:

    I don’t like either team. I cheer each time they lose. Why do you people in Boston and New York think your rivalry is the only one and everyone is watching. I would think more people nationwide root against the Yankees and Red Six than root for them.

    I think I’m in the minority in that I like both teams—I know, what a concept–appreciating 2 good American League teams who’s fans can’t stand each other….

    #1 in my heart, though: Cubbbbbbies!

  11. Elliana175 Said:

    There are more fans that don’t like them than do. I would say 12-15% of the market share!

    GO YANKEES!!!!

    RED SOX SUCK!!!

    Screw the Yankees. They spend more money on players than all of baseball (A-Rod’s annual salary is higher than the entire Florida Marlins team) to try to win championships and they still can’t win. New York fans (who expect nothing less than a championship every year) always think their team is so talented and great. Well no shit their team has talent, the Yankees steal all of the talented players from the other teams in baseball that can’t match NY’s contract proposal. With that amount of money being spent on players, winning a championship shouldn’t be exciting for fans but a relief. Every year the Yankees lose, it’s an upset, like in boxing if a heavyweight is defeated by a middleweight. For this reason, I love watching the Yankees lose because no matter who they lose to it’s like watching David kick Goliath’s ass.
